Doherty feeds penguin marijuana

Rocker/junkie Pete Doherty has shared his passion for drugs with the animal kingdom — feeding a penguin a leftover marijuana joint, according to reports.

Doherty was snapped waving the spliff in front of a group of Humboldt penguins at a wildlife park while girlfriend Kate Moss watched.

When Pete, 27, threw the remnants into their pen, one of the eager birds confused it for food and promptly swallowed it.

A fellow visitor to the Cotswold Wildlife Park in Oxfordshire, England, photographed Pete messing with the penguins. He said:

"Everyone knew he was smoking grass. He was joking about getting the penguins stoned."

"He threw them his joint and it looked like one gulped it down. It seemed very wobbly."

Andrew Routh, London Zoo's chief veterinary officer, told The Sun that Pete's idiotic antics threatened the penguin's life.

"Feeding a penguin cannabis could be fatal. It contains toxins that attack the nervous system and liver."

The Babyshambles rocker reportedly spent the day carelessly walking through the park arm-in-arm with 33-year-old girlfriend Kate.
