Anderson Cooper has signed a new deal with CNN that’s reported to be worth over $4 million a year.

According to industry sources cited by Broadcasting & Cable, Cooper’s old pact was worth around $2 million a year, and his new multiyear deal is "more than double that amount.”

The host of CNN’s primetime show "Anderson Cooper 360” will also be able to continue as an occasional contributor to CBS’s "60 Minutes.”

Insiders had speculated for months that Cooper might be jumping from CNN to CBS full-time to join the network’s morning newscast "The Early Show.”

Cooper’s ratings on CNN soared more than 30 percent in December in the key 25-to-54 demographic.
