Britney snaps up mansion on the spot for $6.5m

Britney Spears' impulsiveness isn't confined to head-shaving and taking impromptu dips in the sea in her underwear - it also extends to house hunting.

The singer was so impressed with Ray Liotta’s Pacific Palisades mansion that she snapped it up after a whirlwind 40-minute viewing.

Britney made sure that the house met her stringent requirements – by taking a dip in the pool with her sons, having a bath and testing all the toilets – before dropping £4 million on the Goodfellas star’s Mediterranean-style home.

An insider tells the Daily Star:

“Britney has spent the past month looking for a new pad ever since the child protection services reported that her Malibu and Bel Air homes have unsafe pool areas.

“And she fell in love with the Liotta pad the second she set foot in it. But she wanted to play house to make sure.”

Liotta designed and built the five-bedroom, eight-bathroom spread himself but put it on the market after upsetting his neighbours by crashing into their parked cars.
