Kirsten Dunst loves her dress, hates the Oscars

kirstendunstoscar.jpg

She may have looked cool and collected on the red carpet, but Kirsten Dunst had a mini-meltdown at the Academy Awards on Sunday night.

Us Weekly bumped into the actress when she left the theater for a bathroom break, and she sang the praises of her seafoam Chanel number.

"I love this dress. Isn't it pretty?"

But at some point while in the bathroom, she seemed to have changed her mind.

After returning to the theater, she tugged anxiously on her dress.

She told her female companion:

"I don't feel really relaxed, I don’t want to spill water on this dress or you can see through it.”

The 24-year-old actress then began to fret about taking the stage later to present the Academy Award for Best Screenplay.

“I want to get this over with so I can go relax. I can't f--k up my speech. I am presenting Best Screenplay and it will be career suicide if I f--k it up! I really need water. I just want to get out of here already!"

Kirsten has never been a huge fan of the Oscars. Two years ago on the red carpet, she was overheard whispering to her publicist, “I hate this.”

Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes at The Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2007

Katie Holmes raised eyebrows with her demure manner on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar party.

Upon arriving at the famed afterparty, Cruise urged his bride to pose for a photograph alone.

"Take a shot of her," he told photographers.

But according to an onlooker, the 28-year-old actress refused to take a picture without him.

The actor then led Holmes around by the hand, pulling her back and forth while he mingled and she remained silent.

Cruise, 44, greeted a few photographers but didn’t introduce his wife, who said nothing and stood next to her husband, waiting for him to finish his conversations.

He later asked her again to pose for a picture alone, and she finally agreed.

“She looks at him for direction,” the witness said.

The Departed wins Best Picture

martinscorsesebestpicture.jpg

The mob epic "The Departed" topped the 79th annual Academy Awards Sunday night in Los Angeles, winning four Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director for Martin Scorsese.

Scorsese couldn't help but allude to his previous six Oscar losses -- five of them coming for Best Director.

"Could you double-check the envelope?" a jovial Scorsese asked presenters Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg.

Scorsese also alluded to the trio during his acceptance speech.

"I'm overwhelmed with this honor from the Academy and also the honor of being presented by three of my old friends. We go back 37 years," said Scorsese. "I'm so moved. I'm so moved."

Scorsese's win was immediately followed by the film's Best Picture announcement, by actress Diane Keaton and "Departed" star Jack Nicholson.

"To be here where Martin Scorsese won his Oscar is such a joy, such a joy," said "The Departed's" producer Graham King.

"The Departed" also earned Oscars for William Monahan for Best Adapted Screenplay and longtime Scorsese collaborator Thelma Schoonmaker for Best Editing.

Ewan McGregor breaks leg in bike crash

ewanmcgregorbike.jpg

Ewan McGregor has broken his leg in a motorbike smash, The Sunday Mail reports.

The daredevil Scot came off his high-powered bike while taking it for a spin near his London home.

McGregor, 35, has been hobbling around with a plaster cast but is hoping to recover fully for his planned motorbike trip from John O'Groats to Cape Town in South Africa this summer.

In an interview for Comic Relief, the Star Wars actor told Edinburgh's Fresh Air Radio DJ Tim Johns how he was hurt when he spilled off his bike.

He said:

"I just had a freak traffic accident on my bike and had a little fall off, yeah.

"It hasn't put me off bikes at all."

"If you are going to ride bikes, you are going to have accidents from time to time. So it was unfortunate."

Last night, McGregor's mum Carol, from Crieff, Perthshire, said:

"It's true. Ewan has had an accident on his motorbike and has broken his leg.

"The accident happened in London but that's all I can really tell you about it."

"Ewan is managing to hobble around on crutches perfectly well and he feels OK."

"I'm sure he will be fine for his motorbike trip in the summer and he is very much looking forward to it."

It is the second time McGregor has come off a motorbike. He escaped serious injury seven years ago when a 190mph superbike he was riding on loan, skidded on diesel near Inverness.

The pair have long been vocal about their desire to raise more international children.

Their son Maddox was born in Cambodia, while daughter Zahara was born in Ethiopia.

Desperate Housewives to end in 2011

DesperateHousewivespic.jpg

Many consider seven to be a lucky number. Marc Cherry hopes it is for him too.

The Desperate Housewives creator just signed a four-year, eight-figure deal with ABC that will ensure that life continues on Wisteria Lane through May 2011. ABC has already signed the key Desperate Housewives cast to deals through 2011.

At that point, the series will end, Cherry told Variety magazine.

"After seven seasons, it will be a good time to call it quits. I don't want anyone else to run the show, and I don't want us to fade away."

Of course, if the show somehow stays popular, expect Desperate Housewives to continue past 2011.

K-Fed to go to court for emergency custody hearing

britneykevinprestonjersey.jpg

The strange, in-and-out-of-rehab saga that reportedly has been Britney Spears' life the past week will move to a new venue as her estranged husband heads to court amid a custody dispute over their two children.

Kevin Federline and his lawyer have requested an emergency hearing at the family law court in downtown Los Angeles, said Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini, and will appear Thursday before a court commissioner.

Parachini told AP:

"Our best information is he will be here; she won't. But anything is possible."

Although it was not known what Federline intended to ask the court, the 28-year-old aspiring rapper has filed for spousal support and sole custody of their two sons, 5-month-old Jayden James and 17-month-old Sean Preston. The couple have shared joint custody since Spears filed for divorce last November, citing irreconcilable differences after two years of marriage.

Prince Harry to be sent to Iraq

princeharryarmy.jpg

Prince Harry will be serving as a soldier in Iraq by the end of the month, The Daily Mirror reported Saturday.

The Daily Mirror newspaper -- citing an unnamed senior military official -- reported that Defense Secretary Des Browne is expected to announce Feb. 26 that the prince, who is third in line to the throne, will be deployed along with his regiment near Basra in southern Iraq.

A royal family spokesman declined to comment and the Defense Ministry called the report speculative, saying upcoming Iraq deployments had yet to be finalized.

The 22-year-old prince, known as Troop Commander Wales by his regiment -- the Blues and Royals -- has trained to command 11 soldiers and four Scimitar tanks.

The Defense Ministry has previously confirmed Harry could go to Iraq if his unit was deployed there, but said he might be kept out of situations where his presence would jeopardize his comrades.

Harry's brother Prince William, training as a troop leader within the Blues and Royals, cannot be deployed to war zones because he is second in line to the British crown.

Britain has 7,000 troops based in southern Iraq and plans to reduce numbers through the course of 2007, government officials have said.

Harry, who graduated last year from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, said in a 2005 interview that he was keen to fight for his country.

"There's no way I'm going to put myself through Sandhurst and then sit on my arse back home while my boys are out fighting for their country."

In joining the military, Harry followed a royal tradition: Charles was a pilot with the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy and Harry's grandfather, Prince Philip, had a distinguished career in the Royal Navy.

Harry's uncle, Prince Andrew, was a Royal Navy pilot and served in the Falklands war against Argentina.

Britney shaves her head

britneybald1.jpg

Britney Spears is back in the U.S., and she's sporting a brand new look.
Spears was photographed at the valley tattoo shop "Body and Soul" in Sherman Oaks, getting a tattoo reportedly of a pair of red and pink lips on her wrist. But the biggest change to the pop singer's style? She shaved her head bald.

Spears could be seen inside the tattoo parlor with her head fully exposed, but as she left the shop she was led by her bodyguard straight to a waiting SUV. Spears had her head covered with a hooded sweatshirt to hide her new noggin.

The sidewalk outside the shop was filled with fans, onlookers and paparazzi. Some fans that were interviewed after Spears departed declared the new look less than flattering.

Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez the new Scientologist

jenniferlopezmarcanthonybodetown1.jpg

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, despite denials and protests, are more than ever into Scientology.

Foxnews reports that as recently as December, Lopez and Anthony were taking professional business meetings at Scientology's Celebrity Center in Hollywood.

Anthony is said to have taken the "purification" course, a hopped-up sauna that supposedly "cures" all ills. Lopez may have invested in the IRS-sanctioned religion thanks to infertility issues and difficulties in the couple's marriage.

What's very clear is that Lopez and Anthony's sudden friendship with chief celebrity Scientologist Tom Cruise is no accident. Other than belonging to the expensive pay-as-you-go religion, Cruise and the Lopez-Anthonys would have nothing in common.

Lopez and Anthony entered Scientology with the help of Angelo Pagan, the husband of "King of Queens" actress Leah Remini. Both Pagan and Remini — mostly the former — have taken dozens of pricey courses in L. Ron Hubbard's creation.

Lopez confided in at least one friend that she "would do anything" to help her marriage. Sadly, among the couple's public problems has been infertility. Lopez will be 37 in July and has made no secret of her desire to become a mother. But through three marriages (Anthony, Chris Judd and Ojani Noa) and two long-term public relationships (Sean "Diddy" Combs and Ben Affleck), no pregnancy has occurred.

Ben Affleck's colonic virginity

benaffleckcatchandrelease.jpg

Ben Affleck says it felt like he was "losing his virginity" again when he had colonic irrigation.

The Hollywoodland actor recently underwent the medical procedure - which involves having warm water pumped into the intestines to flush out all un-passed excrement - but admits it was an experience he will not be repeating.

He told Britain's Zoo magazine:

"I lost my virginity all over again that day, in so many ways. I don't think I will be having it done again."

Colonic irrigation is not the only health conscious decision Ben has made recently - he has also given up smoking.

The 34-year-old actor revealed it was his role as chain-smoking bondsman Jack Dupree in new movie Smokin' Aces that convinced him to quit.

Ben - who has a one-year-old daughter Violet with his wife Jennifer Garner - said:

"The whole week that I shot, I smoked, like, five packs a day. By the time the movie was over, I was so sick of smoking, I just didn't want to do it anymore, and I quit. But it's pretty cool that I have this celluloid record of the last time I smoked."

Sienna Miller in remake of Theo von Gogh film

SiennaMillerdog1.jpg

Steve Buscemi and Sienna Miller star in a new film exploring the relationship between the media and celebrities in a re-make of a Dutch version by slain director Theo van Gogh.

Van Gogh, an outspoken critic of Islam who was murdered in 2004 by a Dutch-Moroccan militant, planned to adapt a trilogy of films for Hollywood before he was killed, of which "Interview" was the first.

Miller, a real-life tabloid favorite in Britain and whose relationships and outfits are front page news, has plenty in common with her character in the film.

Buscemi said he had not known Miller's work when it was suggested that he cast her in "Interview".

"It was important for me not to have somebody who was in the tabloids just for the sake of having somebody in the tabloids. They had to be a really good actor."

"It was a relief to find somebody who could handle that role and I think she did a wonderful job."

Miller has won critical acclaim for the part, with Screen International's David D'Arcy calling it her "breakthrough performance".

In an earlier interview, Buscemi told Reuters how he had been surprised by the media intrusion into Miller's life.

"I think it's pretty insane what she goes through."

"We were rehearsing in London for a week and I was just shocked when we would come out of the rehearsal space and there would be all these paparazzi, and then we'd get in the car and they would get in the car and they would follow us and we would have little chase scenes."

Angelina is getting thinner by the day

angelinajoliethin.jpg

Angelina Jolie is getting more and more skeletal by the day and her weight is starting to concern many observers. The Mr. & Mrs. Smith star was a curvy, yet slim woman with an over-all healthy appearance. Now, seemingly after the death of her mother, Angie seems to be thinner than ever.

An insider recently told Star Magazine:

"She's rail thin. You're afraid to hug her because she might break."

The insider believes Angelina is at least 20 pounds under the average weight for her height. The AP quotes another source as telling Star:

"Angie doesn't seem to have a healthy appetite. When she's depressed or stressed, it's worse."

Angie's withering appetite also has her lover Brad Pitt concerned.

According to a source, Brad is very concerned:

"He's worried. He tries to plan meals, but she doesn't seem interested."

Angelina was criticised for maintaining a low weight during her pregnancy last year and has recently been spotted with prominent veins in her arms and forehead. She was also reported to have fainted three times while filming A Mighty Heart in India last year with a source explaining at the time: "she's surviving on trail mix."

John Mayer says he is marrying in May

johnmayerjessicasimpson.jpg

John Mayer made headlines at last night’s Grammy Awards when he subtly mentioned that he plans to get married in May. When asked by host Sheryl Hickie of “Entertainment Tonight Canada” about his running shoes, Mayer replied that he knew they were inappropriate but promised he would wear better shoes to his wedding. When asked if he planned on getting married, he replied “May” and walked away.

When asked about Jessica Simpson by other red carpet host, Ryan Seacrest, Mayer did not respond with the same answer. He mumbled something in Japanese that, when translated, meant “She is very beautiful – and you’re the last to know”. So did he mean that he had already told Sheryl Hickie that he plans to marry the 25 year old music star? Nobody is really sure – but one thing is for sure – he said plans on getting married in May – and anyone can put the two together.

But for a couple who hasn’t even been seen at a public event together - and who hasn’t even been dating for a very long time - marriage seems like a bad idea. Perhaps they are trying to steal the limelight from Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, who are supposedly marrying in April. Looks like Nick and Jess are moving on – quickly.

Anna Nicole Smith final footage with Danielynn

danielynnannanicolesmith.jpg

ET has the exclusive final footage of Anna Nicole Smith with her baby Dannielynn Hope caught on tape.

In the home movies, filmed just days before Anna Nicole's untimely death, the
39-year-old mother lovingly dresses her daughter in a pink outfit.

"She's got my personality. She's so tall. She's got really long fingers like mine and she's real dainty. ... She rolls over; she's very strong. She holds her head up. She can say a couple words -- she says, 'Ma-ma.' She's tryin' to grow up faster than she is, and she gets aggravated 'cause she can't."

Sadly, now that Anna Nicole is gone, a major baby battle is brewing. Little Dannielynn's innocent existence has become a lightning rod of controversy, with several parties attempting to lay claim to her -- and the potential windfall she could stand to inherit. Paternity and the child custody decision could determine what happens to that inheritance.

Questionable claims and theories abound -- like how Anna Nicole's half-sister, Donna Hogan, alleges in an upcoming tell-all that her sister used the frozen sperm of her ex-husband, billionaire 90-year-old J. Howard Marshall to become pregnant with Dannielynn; and Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Prince Federic Von Anhalt, claims that he is the father of the baby after an alleged decade-long affair with the former Trimspa spokesperson.

But before those posthumous claims came out of the woodwork, Anna Nicole's alleged former boyfriend, photographer Larry Birkhead, declared that he is the father of the child and has waged a legal battle to determine paternity of the baby. Last Friday, his lawyer submitted a request for an emergency DNA test on Anna Nicole's body as part of his ongoing paternity suit. But an L.A. judge refused the request, and Anna Nicole's body will be preserved until another hearing on February 20.

Birkhead's attorney, Debra Opri said that:

"Larry wants his baby. Larry will do everything to make sure that Howard K. Stern does not have that child."

Anna Nicole's estranged mother, Virgie Arthur, took action over the weekend and flew to the Bahamas to look after what she believes to be are the best interests of Dannielynn, who is currently said to be under the care of Stern's mother and sister. Virgie was spotted visiting several locations in Nassau, including the Southern Police Station on Quakoo and Market Streets, and a social services address on Thompson Blvd., reportedly trying to get the local police and child protective services to intervene on her behalf.

Under Bahamian law, Stern -- whose name is on the baby's birth certificate -- now becomes the baby's sole legal guardian. ET was with Howard as he reluctantly left the body of Anna Nicole to be with the 5-month-old child, whom he says is the light helping him go on.

"I wouldn't be here now, but I had to get back to Dannielynn. I held her in my arms and couldn't believe her mom is gone. I know Anna loved her more than anything in the world."

In October, Anna Nicole herself said that she detested Virgie, saying:

"She's not my mother, she's my birth mother."

Stern has vowed to maintain Anna Nicole's wishes, saying Virgie is not welcome:

"As long as I have a breath in my body, that woman will not see Dannielynn. She has no right. She can't take Anna's baby."

Lindsay Lohan moves into Monroe's former home

lindsaylohanrehab.jpg

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan has purchased the Los Angeles apartment that movie legend Marilyn Monroe once called home.

The 20-year-old, who is currently in rehab at the Wonderland Center in the Hollywood Hills, is expected to move into Monroe's former two-bedroom apartment after her treatment is completed.

A neighbour at the El Palacio building, where the apartment is located, says:

"We were all amazed to see Lindsay moving in."

Lohan has been a longtime fan of the iconic and tragic actress, admitting in one recent interview she tries to emulate Monroe whenever she can - even when it came to entertaining the troops.

The actress said:

"I wanted to do what Marilyn Monroe did (during the Korean War), when she went and just set up a stage and did a concert for the troops all by herself.

"It's so amazing seeing that one woman just going somewhere, this beautiful sex kitten, who's basically a pinup, which is what I've always aspired to be."

Anna Nicole Smith dies

annanicolesmith.jpg

Anna Nicole Smith, the voluptuous former Playboy centerfold who married an octogenarian billionaire and waged a legal battle for his fortune all the way to the Supreme Court, died Thursday after collapsing at a hotel. She was 39.

Anna Nicole was been rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, shortly after 2 p.m. EST after collapsing at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood.

Edwina Johnson, chief investigator of the Broward County Medical Examiner's Office, said the cause of death was under investigation and an autopsy would be done on Friday.

A private nurse called 911 after finding Smith unresponsive in her sixth-floor room, said Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger. He said Smith's bodyguard administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation about an hour before she was declared dead. She is believed to have expired on the scene.

Anna Nicole was reportedly treated with Narcan on the scene. Narcan is a substance generally adminstered to remove narcotics from a person's system.

Anna Nicole has made headlines in recent months in her ongoing fight over money following the death of her billionaire husband. Smith has also battled weight, alcohol, and depression troubles and the recent death of her 20-year-old son.

Madonna's ex is annoyed by their daughter's British accent

madonnaexcarlosleon.jpg

Carlos Leon, the father of Madonna’s eldest child Lourdes, is reportedly angered that his daughter is now speaking with a British accent.

10 year old Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon was born in the US but has lived in London since she was three after mum Madonna married Guy Ritchie.

A source told the New York Daily News that Carlos was annoyed to hear that Lourdes had “a full-on British accent” at the recent UK premiere of Arthur and the Invisibles.

Madonna’s spokesperson Liz Rosenberg insists the reports are exaggerated but:

“It wouldn’t be surprising if Madonna’s daughter has some sort of English accent, since she lives in London most of the time. To me, she always sounds a little American and a little British. All this seems perfectly normal to me.”

“What I can tell you, she’s a natural beauty - no surprise there. She’s frankly a very unspoiled and lovely child, and for that I give credit to Madonna, Guy and Carlos.”

'People shouldn't believe what they hear, I am not marrying her. I've read and heard we are going to, but there is no truth in that,' the star said after his 'Music and Lyrics' premiere in London.

The couple's three-year relationship has had many ups and down, with Grant reportedly calling Khan a 'dictator' in the past. Earlier this month he was seen ranting on the streets of Beverly Hills, while she looked on glumly.

On the premiere night, the couple made no real attempt to cover up the bumps in their relationship, with onlookers saying Khan looked 'uncomfortable on the red carpet, like she didn't want to be there'.

Grant was celebrating his role as a washed up, commitment-phobic 80s pop star in the comedy. Co-star Drew Barrymore, who joined Grant on the red carpet in a John Galliano dress, said: 'It was lovely to work with Hugh. He is a complete gentleman.'

Khan also chose to sit and chat with a group of friends separate from Grant at a party later at Floridita in Soho, London.

Charlize Theron is sued by Raymond Weil

charlizetheroneastofhavana1.jpg

Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron. In court papers filed late Monday in state Supreme Court, Weil said Theron signed an endorsement deal saying that from October 2005 through December 2006 she would only wear Weil's high-end watches.

That deal allowed Weil to use Theron's photographs in its advertisements in exchange for "substantial funds," court papers said.

Meanwhile, Theron had an endorsement deal to promote a Dior perfume, Weil's lawsuit said. The 31-year-old actress "was actually photographed wearing a watch from the Christian Dior line" at a March 14, 2006, news conference at a film festival in Austin, Texas. A photo of her wearing the watch is included as an exhibit.

"Although the agreement clearly prohibits (Theron) from appearing in any advertisement for any jewelry, even for charity, she appeared wearing a necklace in an advertisement benefiting an
AIDS charity, violating the agreement, from February 2006 to December 2006," the court papers said.

"Plaintiffs were led to believe and had a right to believe by their written agreement that (Theron) would not promote jewelry or watches."

The lawsuit doesn't say how much Weil is seeking in damages, but the watchmaker's lawyer, David Jaroslawicz, said his client had spent more than $20 million on the Theron advertising campaign.

Theron won a best actress Oscar for 2003's Monster. Her films also include North Country, Mighty Joe Young and The Legend of Bagger Vance.

Ellen DeGeneres on W, March 2007

ellendegeneresW.jpg

Ellen DeGeneres is all glammed up on the cover of W magazine's March issue.

The actress/comedian who is hosting the Oscars on Feb. 25 talks about red carpet and fashion in the interview with W with her partner, Portia de Rossi by her side.

W: Do you enjoy fashion?
ED: I usually wear Jil Sander, or I wear Marc Jacobs, or I wear Viktor & Rolf.... I love Raf Simons, but I didn’t know he was even doing the [Jil Sander] collection. I like Neil Barrett. I love clothes, so when I wear clothes, they’re usually somebody’s. You know, I’m not wearing Kmart.

W: Do you think that’s the perception?
ED: Whenever Portia and I are on the red carpet, they’re yelling out for her to tell them what she’s wearing. But nobody cares [about what I’m wearing] because I have a suit on, even if it’s a Gucci suit. That to me is frustrating, because I put effort into getting ready too. But I guess it’s not as important, and I’m not as dressed up somehow. I also feel myself more of a person than a gender. When people show me clothing that seems very, very feminine, it’s hard for me to embrace that, because it just doesn’t feel like me.... It was fun [for the shoot] having somebody do that to my hair, and do that makeup. But would I want to do that every single day? No.

W: What will you wear to the Oscars?
ED: Everybody’s sending me stuff. Gucci sent me this amazing package with all kinds of different designs and different fabrics, in a beautiful box with my name engraved in gold plate. I picked some fabrics, and they’re making me something. Zac Posen made me a gorgeous tuxedo. Viktor & Rolf is making me something.... I wasn’t planning on changing because it’s just different suits, but I may do it, because I’d like to thank them all for making me stuff, for wanting to do that.

W: What do you think of Kathy Griffin?
ED: Very mean.... I know she had a big thing about wanting to be on the show, and we didn’t book her. She did a whole thing that I banned her from the show. I didn’t ban her from the show, because first you have to be on the show to be banned.

W: What about Sarah Silverman?
ED: I think she’s hilarious. I think she’s raunchy as can be, not my kind of comedy, but I think she’s brilliant. Smart counts for a whole lot to me.

W: Borat?

ED: Sacha? I think Sacha [Baron Cohen], again, is brilliant. He’s a friend of mine. I think he’s hilarious. I haven’t seen Borat, so I can’t really speak [about it] yet. I don’t like bathroom humor and I know that there’s some pretty gross stuff in there. But some of the stuff he does is hilarious—as long as everybody is clear on the fact that he’s pointing out how scary a lot of people are.

W hits newsstands in New York Friday and is available nationwide Feb. 23.

Jessica still keep in touch with Nick

jessicasimpsonnicklacheysmile.jpg

Jessica Simpson says she was stung when ex-husband Nick Lachey jumped back into dating after their high-profile breakup.

In an interview in the March issue of Elle magazine, on newsstands February 13, she said:

"Oh, it hurt me. Two or three weeks later? Yeah, I'd say it kind of hurt me."

Simpson and Lachey, 33, starred in the MTV reality show, "Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica." She filed for divorce in December 2005, after three years of marriage.

She made that decision, she says, after watching the 2004 romance "The Notebook" starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams as star-crossed lovers, on a plane ride home to Texas.

"I just figured out the statement. It was about that moment of desperation. I needed to breathe."

Does she still keep in touch with the singer, who is dating MTV's Vanessa Minnillo?

"Mm-hmmm. He's so much a part of my life, how could I not be? Any guy that's going to be with me from this day forward has to understand that. You want to help me find a guy?"

She says she "is so happy right now," but declined to discuss her love life.

"I want to tell you everything, but I have to sew my lips together."

Asked whether she's in love, a grinning Simpson plays coy:

"I didn't say yes."

Snickers Superbowl Ad met with disgust

A Snickers bar is so scrumptious it brings two men into a full blown lip lock: A step forward for the gay community on television, until you see the reaction that follows.

The public can go to www.Snickers.com and vote on alternative endings to a commercial that finds two auto mechanics munching through opposite ends of a Snickers bar until they meet in a passionate kiss.

The reaction was disgust as they rip all of the hair from their chest. Or, as you find from watching the alternate endings, downing a jug of motor oil and smashing the other’s head under the hood of a car.

The largest gay civil rights group has called on Mars to remove the offensive content. Snickers has since pulled the Web site containing the homophobic ads and commentary. Still no word from Snickers about the entire affair.

Scarlett Johansson was "de-sexified" in The Nanny Diaries

scarlettjohanssonnannydiaries.jpg

Scarlett Johansson didn't want to blow people's minds away in her new movie - at least not in a sexual way - so she insisted on looking like your average, everyday girl.

The director of "The Nanny Diaries" has revealed that Scarlett was "de-sexified" for her latest movie role.

The stunning 22-year-old actress decided she needed to play the dowdy girl-next-door for her portrayal of a college student working as a nanny to put herself through school in "The Nanny Diaries."

Co-director Robert Pulcini revealed:

"We thought about how we would approach Scarlett because she is very glamorous, but she's the one who said, 'I really think I should have brown hair and look like an everyday college girl in this movie."

The movie - based on the best-selling book by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus - also stars Laura Linney and Paul Giamatti as the snobby parents of a spoiled brat in need of a nanny.

Pulcini added:

"It's very much the story of a girl finding her identity. She's quite confused about what kind of future she should choose, and she ducks out of her life for a period and deals with other people's problems instead of her own. She's avoiding that final step into adulthood."

"The Nanny Diaries" has already received the Hollywood touch, when it was adapted into an audio book and read by Julia Roberts.

Sharon Stone & Tammy Lynn defend Isaiah Washington

isaiahwashingtondr.jpg

In the latest news of Isaiah Washington/T.R. Knight "Grey's Anatomy" controversy, two actresses have gone public to express their support for Isaiah Washington, who is currently in anger management rehab for allegedly calling co-star T.R. Knight a “faggot,” and then using the offensive term again at the Golden Globes to deny that he ever said it.

Gay actress Tammy Lynn Michaels, partner of rock star Melissa Etheridge, defended the actor in a posting on her blog, Hollywood Farm Girl. She says the Isaiah Washington that she has come to know through playdates with their respective children “is not that man” described in the press as a hot-tempered, homophobic outcast.

She writes:

he is not a bad man ...
i forgive his words,
because truth be told
i do not believe
the word
faggot
lives in his heart

Sharon Stone has also come to Washington’s defense, telling the New York Post that his anger management deal is ridiculous.

"I've been called a b*tch - and a lot worse - for years. And you know what, so what? People who think that aren't going to change their minds. And I wouldn't dream of sending them to therapy to 'rehabilitate' their feelings. How absurd. Please, I call all my gay friends 'big fags'."
