Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe Split
TMZ has reported that Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe have separated.
The couple's rep released a statement to TMZ Monday morning that says "We are saddened to announce that Reese & Ryan have decided to formally separate. They remain committed to their family and we ask that you please respect their privacy and the safety of their children at this time."

Oprah gives her audience debit cards
On a show that aired Monday, popular talk-show host Oprah Winfrey gave more than 300 audience members $1,000 debit cards sponsored by the Bank of America to donate to a charitable cause.
Winfrey called the show her "favorite giveaway ever."
People can give the entire sum to one person — relatives aren't eligible — or they can split it among charitable causes. Audience members also received a DVD recorder to tape their stories for a future show.
"I can honestly say that every gift I've ever given has brought at least as much happiness to me as it has to the person I've given it to. That's the feeling I want to pass on to you."
"You're going to open your hearts, you're going to be really creative, and you're going to spend it all at once on one stranger or spend a dollar on every person," Winfrey said. "Imagine the love and kindness you can spread with $1,000."

Nude pictues of Marcia Cross were thrown out by mistake
Phoenix-based agent David Hans Schmidt has gotten his hands on more than 200 personal photos of Desperate Housewives' Marcia Cross.
Schmidt is representing the owner of a carting firm hired to remove trash from Cross' home in L.A. According to Schmidt, one of the firm's employees discovered the photos when he got to the dump.
Cross is demanding their return. Her lawyers argue that no matter where the photos were found, they are the copyrighted property of Cross and her husband, Tom Mahoney, who may have taken some of them. Cross' attorneys maintain the photos were thrown out by mistake.
"There are some pictures of her showering outside. She looks absolutely gorgeous. And yes, the carpet does match the curtains."
"The pictures were not stolen. When you throw something away, you forfeit that property.
"We recognize the copyright issue, but U.S. copyright law stops at the border."
"I'm not looking to mortify Ms. Cross, I just want the most money for my client."
He says that Cross' representatives have so far balked at his price, which he won't name.

Sharon Osbourne has something to say about Madonna adoption row, "She bought a baby for God's sake."
She told US radio host Howard Stern:
"It's like getting a Louis Vuitton handbag."
"It's a crock of s***. If she wants to help the kid she should have got the father a little trade going, a fruit stand or something like that and built him a mud hut."
"If the kid is sick then get him a doctor, what was the father supposed to do, he can't read or write."
"She should have left him in his own culture, that is what I say."
"Madonna should have given the money to an orphanage, got them a 24-hour paramedic. She bought a baby for God's sake."

Angelina Jolie is adopting an Indian baby
Sources say Angeline Jolie and Brad Pitt have already applied to adopt a tot from an Indian orphanage.
The source told US magazine Globe:
"They hope to be able to bring the child home by Christmas.
"Brad would prefer a boy no older than 18 months to even out the sexes but Angie has told him she can't guarantee she won't fall in love with a little girl."
"Whichever they end up with, they'd like to name the child India to honour its homeland." The pair are rumoured to have visited the Priva Darshini orphanage in the last month.
Angelina's first child, five-year-old Maddox, was adopted from a Cambodian orphanage in 2002. And last year she adopted an Ethiopian baby girl - Zahara Marley Jolie - orphaned by AIDS, now 22-months-old.
She and actor Brad Pitt, 42, had a daughter together, baby Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, in May 2006. Angelina, 31, has declared that she'd like kiddies from all over the world.
She has said: "I want to create a rainbow family. That's children of different religions and cultures from different countries."
"I believe I'm meant to find my children in the world and not necessarily have them genetically."
However it was said that the couple were in disagreement over whether they should adopt again, with Pitt wanting to concentrate on the children they have.
Miss Jolie is currently in India with Pitt filming her latest movie A Mighty Heart, about the murder of U.S journalist Daniel Pearl.

It's official - it's a boy!
Contrary to reports, Spears and husband Kevin Federline have not named their child Sutton Pierce and have instead given him the moniker Jayden James.
TMZ said the name was listed on a birth certificate filed by the couple with Los Angeles authorities after the birth of the boy on September 12, scotching rumours the baby was a girl.

T.R. Knight who plays Dr. George O'Malley in Grey's Anatomy has been spotted with a man. The star publicly came out to People magazine earlier this week.
The man has been identified as Luke MacFarlane, and he plays Scotty on ABC's Brothers and Sisters.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is furious
Catherine Zeta-Jones is furious with her husband Michael Douglas, after he gushed about his sexy co-stars.
The 62-year-old actor revealed he had a "crush on Kim Basinger" and complimented Eva Longoria on her "fantastic butt" during a recent interview to promote his film "The Sentinel." Michael also proclaimed that "sex is like a wave that sweeps over me."
However, his 37-year-old Welsh actress wife was not amused by his comments and immediately telephoned him to tell him exactly how she felt.
A source revealed to Britain's Grazia magazine:
"Catherine called him every name under the sun. Michael was trying to explain it was just for publicity, and that he thought it was a good idea to rev up his image as a bad-boy."
The source added: "Michael swore he'd never cheated on her and never would. He also swore no one was as sexy or beautiful as her. They've made up, but Catherine is still edgy."

A Message from Madonna
Madonna has written an open letter to the press to explain the reasons around her and Guy's adoption of baby David:
My husband and I began the adoption process many months prior to our trip to Malawi.
I did not wish to disclose my intentions to the world prior to the adoption happening as this is a private family matter.
After learning that there were over one million orphans in Malawi, it was my wish to open up our home and help one child escape an extreme life of hardship, poverty and in many cases death, as well as expand our family.
Nevertheless, we have gone about the adoption procedure according to the law like anyone else who adopts a child. Reports to the contrary are totally inaccurate.
The procedure includes an 18-month evaluation period after which time we hope to make this adoption permanent.
This was not a decision or commitment that my family or I take lightly.
I am overwhelmed and inspired by my trip to Malawi and hope that it helps bring attention to how much more the world needs to do to help the children of Africa.
My heartfelt thanks for all the good wishes I have received and I hope the press will allow my family some room for us to experience the joy we feel to have David home.

Victoria Beckham is 'massively stressed' as a mom
Victoria Beckham who has three sons, Romeo, seven, Brooklyn, four, and one-year-old Cruz with footballer husband David - claims she is "massively stressed as a mum" because her children take up most of her time. However, Victoria insists she always manages to find time to make sure she is dressed to impress when she goes out.
She is quoted by Britain’s The Sun newspaper as saying:
"You often feel like you have no time to yourself. Nowadays, I multitask. I plan outfits while I’ m doing something else - getting ready for bed or taking a bath. And there’s always the risk of baby sick down my front. Being a mother’s taught me not to waste time faffing about in the closet every morning. You learn how to get things done quicker, and often you do them just as well."

Vince Vaughn to sue newspapers
Vince Vaughn is taking legal action against the Sun, Daily Mirror and New York Post after they said he kissed a "mystery woman" at a London charity event.
The papers reported that Mr Vaughn and Ms Aniston had broken up days before.
The couple say they remain together. Mr Vaughn is due to argue that the articles falsely suggested he had been unfaithful to Ms Aniston.
The Sun and Daily Mirror articles were accompanied by a photograph, which Mr Vaughn will argue was seriously misleading.
He will argue that the suggestion he was involved in a passionate embrace and kiss was false, said a statement from the London lawyers Schillings, who are representing the actor.
The alleged incident took place at the Old Vic theatre earlier this month.

Is Charlotte Church pregnant?
Welsh singer Charlotte Church has sparked speculation she is pregnant after she celebrated Ashlee Simpson's 22nd birthday in London by drinking only water. The Voice of an Angel soprano, who is dating Welsh rugby ace Gavin Henson, also looked to be carrying more weight than usual on her tummy at the bash this week, according to British newspaper the Daily Star. A source says, "Everybody at the party was whispering about the rumours. It just isn't like Charlotte to party all night without alcohol."

Johnny Depp is getting married
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor is set to marry his French lover Vanessa PaView the profile for Johnny Depp on Celebrity Spotlightradis in a small ceremony at their home in the South of France next summer.
The couple have been together for eight years and have two children, Lily-Rose, seven, and four-year-old Jack. The family split their time between Los Angeles and France.
This is not the first time Johnny has been involved in wedding plans - he was engaged to actress Winona Ryer and Jennifer Grey and briefly married to musician Lori Anne Allison in 1983.
A source revealed to Britain's Daily Express newspaper:
"Johnny and Vanessa are planning to finally get married next summer at their villa. It will be a private event rather than a showbiz extravaganza."
For many years Johnny was reluctant to marry again, insisting: "If you are together and you love each other and are good to each other, for all intents and purposes you are married."
Vanessa, who had a worldwide hit with 'Joe le Taxi' when she was just 14, recently revealed how special their relationship is.
She said: "Johnny is all I dreamed of. No one could love the way we love. He's a beautiful person so obviously he's a beautiful dad."

Scarlett Johansson: "Monogamy might not be natural"
Scarlett Johansson says that while monogamy might go against instinct, she's happy in her relationship with boyfriend and recent "Black Dahlia" co-star Josh Hartnett.
"Josh is very sweet," the 21-year-old actress says in an interview in Allure magazine's November issue, on newsstands Oct. 24. "He's a good boy. A great person. I'm very lucky and I'm very happy. Contrary to popular belief, I'm not promiscuous.
"There does seem to be a mistaken belief out there that I am sexually available somehow _ which is not to say that I'm not open-minded about sex," she continues. "Yet I wouldn't say I'm a serial monogamist, either. I mean, I went through periods of time when I was, ah, single. But when I'm in a relationship, I'm in a relationship."
"I do think on some basic level we are animals, and by instinct we kind of breed accordingly," she says. "But as much as I believe that, I work really hard when I'm in a relationship to make it work in a monogamous way."
"I get tested for HIV twice a year. ... One has to be socially aware," she says. "It's part of being a decent human, to be tested for STDs. It's just disgusting behavior when people don't. It's so irresponsible."

Tom and Kate to wed in Nov
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are planning a wedding for sometime in the first three weeks of November, before Thanksgiving. Fox News reported that:
...Cruise — when he invited Holmes to join him in Rome right after they met in April 2005 — gave the young actress a credit card with a $100,000 spending limit. He told her to go back to New York and buy whatever she needed for the trip.
Additionally, Cruise, friends say, did indeed have Katie’s car overhauled the day he met her. The order of events seems to have been an eight-hour meeting — yes, an eight-hour meeting — with Cruise to discuss “Mission: Impossible 3.”
During this time, Cruise told Holmes he didn’t like the dents and scrapes on her car, and took it from her. When he returned it the next day, it was like a miracle body lift had taken place. The rest is history.
No one whom Holmes knew prior to her meeting Cruise has seen or heard from her since then. None of her close friends ever received word of her relationship, pregnancy or birth of baby Suri. And nearly none of them expect to be invited to a wedding.
“It’s very sad,” says one ex-friend. “She was a great girl.”

Nicole Richie and Brody Jenner Split
After two months of dating, Nicole Richie and Brody Jenner have called it quits, US Weekly reports.
Richie's rep confirms the break-up saying: "Nicole and Brody are no longer dating but remain close friends."
A source says that Richie initiated the breakup today at Jenner's home in Malibu and that both Jenner, 23, and Richie, 25, agreed it was best to part ways.
"Nicole just wants to be single right now," says the source. "She felt it was a mistake to jump into a relationship so soon after her breakup with AM."
Richie and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein split in May of this year after a nine-month engagement.

Leonardo DiCaprio admits he was arrogant
Leonardo DiCaprio says fame went to his head and almost made him ''arrogant.'' The 1997 film "Titanic" turned the actor into a global star and Leonardo admits he struggled to cope with his newfound fame.
Leonardo, 31, told Britain's Independent newspaper:
"As soon as people give you compliments and you suddenly have more power than you've ever had in your entire life, it's not so much you become an arrogant p***k, but you get a false sense of your own importance."
"You're treading on dangerous territory when you begin thinking you've actually altered the course of history."
Though he starred in several films before "Titanic," Leonardo rocketed to fame playing Jack Dawson in the movie which still holds the box-office record for the biggest grossing film of all time.
The "Gangs of New York" actor admits fame happened too fast for him to handle.
He said: "Everything happened so quickly. I began to feel engulfed by it."
